TicInsect bioconverts food waste into protein ingredients for animal feed by rearing Hermetia illucens larvae. This insect is a natural recycler of organic waste, able to recover up to 70% of the proteinic content. Insect larvae are then transformed into protein flour and oil, which are sold as high-quality ingredients for animal feed.

Insect-derived feed ingredients are a substitute for the less sustainable fish-derived and soy-derived ingredients; this product is highly demanded for pet food manufacturing, in aquaculture and to nourish chicken, poultry and pigs.
